Everyday, I speak to advisors that are thinking about bringing their family members or relatives into the business. Why not? It’s a noble profession, it helps people, and deals with a very interesting topic that is ever changing. Plus, it provides financial and time freedom.
But those bringing in family members are also looking at their longer succession plans and see these family members as a possible successor.
But is it that simple? Like everything, there’s a lot more to it.
Succession planning is a journey. Today we’re talking with Sonia LeRoy and two of her family members that have joined her business, her nephew Adrian LeRoy and her daughter Rowan Hughes on how they’re doing it and how it has worked for them.
